Privacy at Flowpay.

We built Flowpay to make payments without internet. Here’s how the Android APK downloaded from this website handles your information and why it needs certain permissions.

How we handle your information

Your UPI PIN stays with your bank.

You enter your PIN directly in your bank’s USSD or call flow. Flowpay does not see or store it, and it does not use an accessibility service to read your screen.

Your payment history stays on your device.

Payment records are stored locally in an encrypted database. The downloaded app sends no payment records or usage analytics to Flowpay.

You record the outcome.

After paying, choose Yes, No or Not sure. Flowpay saves your response on your device. It does not read your messages.

Understanding app permissions

Permissions let Flowpay use the phone features needed for a payment. Select a permission below to see what it’s used for.

Phone and SIM

Flowpay uses your phone and SIM to start payment calls and show call controls.

Camera

The camera is used to scan a merchant’s UPI QR code.

Contacts

Contacts access lets you choose someone to pay from your address book.

Display over other apps

This lets Flowpay keep the payment guide visible while you’re in a call.

The app does not request SMS, internet, location or storage permissions. Permissions are requested inside the app when a feature needs them.

About payment confirmations

A payment marked confirmed reflects your answer. Flowpay does not verify whether money moved. Check your bank statement or confirm with the recipient before retrying.
